Forest Park Stewardship in Linnton

Forest Park Conservancy & Linnton Environmental Group have been sponsoring ongoing neighborhood work party in our section of Forest Park. We have beeen removing English Ivy, pruning Holly, and planting native vegitation. The ivy epidemic is quickly consuming Forest Park infecting one in five trees. We'd enjoy having some extra hands to make sure we get the work completed, and win back some of the forest from this sprawling pest.

Come celebrate the Vernal Equinox, Saturday, March 20th, by joining us for Forest Park Stewardship Day. Help us remove invasive plants so that our woods can put on its lovely native garments of fresh beautiful leaves and sweet blossoms. We will continue our work along the streamside and along the new trail.

Join us at the Linnton Trailhead, at the bus turnaround at 105th Avenue on St Helens Rd/Highway 30, at 8 a.m. for a continental breakfast and briefing by Forest Park Conservancy members. Please register at http://forestparkconservancy.org/forest-park-day-of-stewardship-2

We are appreciative and grateful for all of the volunteers. Thank You!
